Beware of thick eyebrows – To Aru Kagaku no Railgun 03

October 17, 2009
Those could compare with Mugi's thick brows.

That's gotta suck.

Railgun week 3: Random invisible girl tasers people and gives them thick eyebrows!

The School Garden

This week was set in a place called the School Garden, which I believe is just one section of Academy City where most of the high-end rich girls schools such as Tokiwadai are located. I just think it was an excuse to have an European city like setting, although it does look quite nice. XD

Jufuku Miho

The culprit: Jufuku Miho. Apparently her eyebrows are weird.

Having been dumped by her boyfriend for a Tokiwadai girl because of her “weird” looking eyebrows, Jufuku Miho goes on the attack on Tokiwadai students armed with a taser and a marker pen. Using her ability “Dummy check”, she can prevent people from noticing she’s around – i.e. invisibility to the naked eye. This results in Uiharu and Kuroko being called in Judgement work and disrupting their little get together.

This reminds me slightly of Heroes. The stuff in English also doesn't make sense. >_>

I don’t think they were really expecting anyone to read it, but out of curiosity I did and was utterly confused.

Yes, attacking an electric girl with a taser is going to stop her. :D

Well this was a bit of a surprise. An anime original episode? I certainly didn’t remember this coming up in the manga. It was kind of interesting, but again there was no serious plot. It did hint at the main arc that’s coming up – Level Upper – with Mikoto’s surprise at the end at Miho’s ability, but otherwise doesn’t seem to be moving on. Much less yuri this episode, but still not enough action for my liking.

Niice post. Just finished watching ep 3 and I agree with you that there was not enough action in this ep. I think the only “real” point with this episode was to introduce us to Level Upper. Nevertheless, I liked it.
Awesome gif at the end, by the way. :)

Thanks. I guess it provides manga readers some relief that the anime isn’t going to be plot-less and will actually move onto with the story soon.
