Haruhi – Endless Eight (Part IV)

July 10, 2009

Time to rage? Oh look, it’s Endless Eight yet again. It’s getting to the point where I can almost recite their lines!!

Is Haruhi looking a bit more bored than usual??

So the question on everyone’s minds must be: When will Endless Eight finally end? Well, the anime has certainly now strayed away from the novel’s original ending – if it had followed, it should have been a two episode arc at best I though. But now into the fourth week of Endless Eight, I’m starting to wonder… are they going for the eight, or is there some other motive behind this? It’s essentially meant to prepare us for one of the later arcs but this isn’t fun to watch anymore.

Haruhi is Haruhi, but whoever came up with the idea of this many episodes for a small arc like this must be somewhat crazy. O_o
26 episodes was the stated number at the beginning of this rerun and if 14 are still the old “first season” and now Endless Eight has taken up at least 5 already… how much more new novel material are we going to get?? It’s not like KyoAni is being lazy and just replaying the episode with the same animation and voicing – every episode has been redone so far… just simply, why? Look forward to next week: Endless Eight (Part V). やれやれ…

Actually, Kadokawa is the one who is responsible since they tell how many episodes to Kyoani to animate.. and Endless Eight for what I heard is going to be 6 episodes long… but I will not forgive Kadokawa for what they did so far with the repeating of the same episode for 3 times…. unless they give me “6 strawberry sundaes” of course!

That’s true. But surely some KyoAni staff get a say as well.

6 episodes is 4 episodes too many… I just want it over. And this latest one seemed to theme itself around the clouds and that airplane a lot, even though it had absolutely no relevance in the end.
